Be In the Village All Day

As mentioned in the previous entry to this blog, last week during a reading I was performing, a woman began speaking in tongues, uttering some African dialect.   This past Sunday we held a ceremony to allow this esteemed elder to share the wisdom he was so fervently attempting to impart.  

It was a powerful experience to hear the dialect, with all of the inflections and nuances.  At times the woman broke out into a hearty laugh.  At other times she moaned and even sang a few ceremonial songs.

Dogon elder- He urged us to immerse ourselves in the ways of our ancestors.  To wear our African fabrics, to eat the simple foods that we ate, to return to the simple ways.  We do not need all of these complex foods and devices!

Perhaps the most powerful message of all was about our experience "in bondage."  He explained that in fact, we lost nothing.  They could not take our ancestors, they could not take our souls.  They got nothing.  In fact,  many of us who seemed merely to die simply chose to transcend- to leave our bodies and free ourselves from this nightmare.                              
A man who recently came for a reading spoke of his unusual healing abilities. He shared of a woman who had epilepsy.  When he sent energy into her, she passed out for two hours and since this time she no longer has seizures. Such occurrences may seem hard to believe, but we do possess this ancient technology wherever we live...
